20,000 number of ISIS foreign elements in Iraq and Syria

(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, the U.S. Newspaper ‘Washington Post’ revealed that, the number of foreign elements in the ISIS organization in Iraq and Syria reached 20,000 elements, arguing that the upsurge in the flow of foreign fighters is alarming.

The newspaper said in a report published on its website, followed with IraqiNews.com, “The pace of the flow of foreign fighters in ISIS ranks in Iraq and Syria has escalated since last October. The estimated number of foreign fighters is 20,000 fighters at the time being, with an increase of five thousand individuals in November.”

The newspaper added, “The new figures are alarming, and indicate that the conflict of bringing more foreign extremists to the region is bigger than what happened in Afghanistan in the eighties.”
