(IraqiNews.com) The spokesman for the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Asiri announced on Tuesday, that Arab Coalition warplanes have bombed the runway of Sanaa Airport to prevent an Iranian plane from landing in the capital of Yemen.

Reuters quoted Asiri as saying, “Arab coalition warplanes bombed the runway of Sanaa Airport this afternoon to prevent an Iranian plane from landing in the capital of Yemen.”

Asiri added that, “The plane did not coordinate with the coalition authorities and the pilot ignored a warning that requested him to return,” noting that, “The bombing of the runway makes it unusable by planes to transport aid.”

The news agency ‘IRNA’ confirmed that Saudi fighter jets tried to force aid plane to return after entering Yemeni airspace, but the pilots ignored the warnings.
