(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott announced on Thursday the arrest of seven Australian youths in airports when they tried to leave to join the ISIS organization in the Middle East.

The newspaper “Daily Telegraph” quoted government sources as saying that five men were disembarked from a plane at Sydney airport on August 12.

The immigration authorities have issued warnings about the five men. They were carrying large amounts of cash and other suspicious materials; their passports were suspended, but two of the five tried to leave again next day, but they were intercepted again.

The newspaper said that “These persons are currently being investigated by anti-terrorism authorities.”

The Australian government says that “more than 150 Australian left the country to join ISIS in Iraq, and there are at least 20 people who had been killed there.”
