(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Thursday, an EgyptAir flight that took off from Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport carrying 66 passengers, including two Iraqi citizens, and 10 crew members has reportdly went missing over the Mediterranean Sea.

Egyptian authorities affirmed the crash of the Egyptian plane over the Mediterranean Sea, amid conflicting news of wreckage from the plane found north of the Egyptian coast.

Egyptian Aviation Authority said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “EgyptAir flight 804, heading from Paris to Cairo, crashed in the Mediterranean.”

The Egyptian Prime Minister Sharif Ismail said during a press conference, “I don’t want to go to speculations or assumptions,” but indicating also that, “The possibility of having a terror attack is higher than the possibility of technical failure.”

According to EgyptAir, Airbus (A 320) took off from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris and disappeared from radar at an altitude of 37,000 feet north of the Egyptian coast in the Mediterranean Sea.

The Iraqi Embassy in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, announced on Thursday, that two Iraqis were among the passengers of the Egyptian missing plane.
