(SyriaNews.media) A local source in Iraq revealed, on Thursday, that foreign members of the Islamic State arrived in the Iraqi territories, coming from Syria, in the last few hours, Syria News reported.

The source, a resident of the Iraqi Anbar, said that members of the Islamic State, mostly foreign members, sneaked into the desert of Anbar, coming from Syria.

The members of the Islamic State then moved to al-Qaim then to the wide desert of Anbar Province, located on borders with Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Syria, the source added on condition of anonymity.

The source expected that the Islamic State transferred its members to the desert of Anbar, after its defeat against Iraqi security forces and the full liberation of Nineveh Province.

The Islamic State lost the majority of its areas in the province of Anbar, however, it still imposes its control over the border districts of Anah, Rawa and al-Qaim, near the Syrian territories.
