(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, Israel’s Defense Ministry said it conducted a test in which it had launched a target missile over the sea, so that it could be intercepted by the Arrow 3 missile. However, only the mock missile was launched in the end, and the interception plan with the Arrow 3 was cancelled due to technical problems.

According to Israeli newspaper ‘Haaretz,’ this is the second Arrow test to fail within just a few months. In September, another trial involving the Arrow 2 missile did not succeed either.

“There was a countdown to the launch and then nothing happened,” a defense source told Reuters.

An official said, that the first part of the test, in which the dummy missile was launched in the Mediterranean, was a success, but the second part, in which the Arrow 3 was supposed to intercept and destroy it, did not go as planned.
