Ankara (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that an independent Kurdish state in northern Iraq would pose a threat to the region and turn it into a “mess”; the border change would bring wars upon the neighboring countries.

Ihsanoglu said in a statement to the German newspaper ‘Frankfurter,’ followed by IraqiNews.com, ” The existence of an independent Kurdish state would put the region at risk and turn it into a mess,” noting that, “Border change would bring wars upon the neighboring countries and this is the reason why the border area should remain the same as it is now,”

In reference to the Kurds of Turkey, Davutoglu said, “Everyone in Turkey has the right to participate in the political process,” adding that, “All communities in Turkey are satisfied with our political system.”

Ihsanoglu stated, “Over the past 12 years, we have met the wishes of the people and we have changed our educational system to allow the use of the Kurdish language to the Turkish side in private schools, and we will continue to remove barriers before the Kurdish language.”
