(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Netherlands has agreed to join the air campaign led by the United States against the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Syria, after its participation in the coalition’s air strikes against ISIS in Iraq with four F-16 aircraft specializing in air support during ground operations by Iraqi forces.

The Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte told reporters: “We are going to deploy the F-16s above Syria, particularly to stop the pipeline leading from Syria into Iraq.”

Noteworthy the Dutch government is to outline its decision of the Parliament in the coming days, while a majority of Dutch legislators supported airstrikes in Syria.
