Obama hails Iran nuclear framework as “Historic”

(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, U.S. President Barack Obama called the framework for the nuclear deal with Iran ‘a good deal,’ warning from any action that could upend work towards the final agreement.

During his appearance at the White House Rose Garden, Obama asserted, “I am convinced that if this framework leads to a final deal, it will make our country and the world safer … [and] cut off every pathway that Iran could take to develop a nuclear weapon.”

Obama said that the U.S. and its negotiating partners have reached a “historic” deal which, if implemented, will prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and outline limits on the Iranian nuclear program.
