(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Saturday the Prime Minister of Finland Juha Sipila has offered his private home to host asylum seekers, as called for all Finns to show solidarity with refugees heading to Europe fleeing from war and poverty.

Sipila told state media  that his house, which is located 500km north of the capital Helsinki, can host asylum seekers starting from the new year,” calling on “all Finns to show solidarity with refugees heading to Europe fleeing from war and poverty.”

The prime minister pointed out that “the European Union’s plan to redistribute 120 thousand refugees, that have arrived in Greece, Italy and Hungary, should be voluntary,” expressing his hope for “Finland to be an example in this regard.”
