(IraqiNews.com) On Monday, the Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati announced, that Umrah tours from Iran are stopped until the two Saudi policemen who sexually harassed Iranian teenagers in Jeddah airport are prosecuted.

Jannati said in remarks followed by IraqiNews.com, “After conducting several studies and consultations, we assigned the Iranian Pilgrimage Organization to halt all Umrah tours until the two policemen involved in sexual harassment of the Iranian adolescents s in Jeddah airport are prosecuted,” pointing out that, “The acts carried out by the Saudi policemen offended the Iranian people’s pride and integrity.”

Jannati added, “The Iranian people demanded a decisive response to these abusive acts. Also many religious authorities expressed concern about the occurrence of such an obscene practice,” noting that, “The Saudi authorities arrested the two policemen and promised to bring them to justice, but nothing has happened so far.”

It is noteworthy that the Iranian president Hassan Rohani assigned Culture Minister Ali Jannati to provide comprehensive and accurate report on the follow-up file to the “abusive practice” of the Saudi policemen against Iranian teenagers in Jeddah airport.
