Turkey carries out its first air raid as part of anti-ISIS coalition

(IraqiNews.com) The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced Saturday, that the Turkish warplanes carried out the first air raid against ISIS as part of the air campaign led by the United States.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Our fighter planes along with warplanes from the coalition yesterday evening began joint operations against ISIS targets which pose a threat to the security of our country.”
The statement also added, “The strikes were carried out, on Friday, in Syria.”
