(IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, the Turkish DM Ismet Yilmaz announced, that the Turkish armed forces have brought down a Syrian helicopter after it violated the Turkish airspace south of the country, confirming that the Syrian helicopter, which crossed the border for five minutes over 11 kilometers, has been dropped, as quoted by the Anatolia news agency.

The media sources have stated earlier that Turkish fighter jets targeted a Syrian plane which penetrated the Turkish airspace in Hatay region.

Turkish F-16 fighter jets took off from the state of Adana.

The Syrian plane was targeted on two consecutive phases, which led to its transformation to three parts, falling into nearby points, according to witnesses.
