UAE to resume airstrikes against ISIS

(IraqiNews.com) The United Arab Emirates announced Saturday, that it will resume its air strikes against the ISIS group militants in Iraq and Syria after the suspension that followed the execution of the Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh.

According to U.S. officials, the United Arab Emirates announced it will resume air strikes after the suspension following the Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh being burned alive after being shot down over Syria last month.

Russia Today TV reported that UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed told U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry during a meeting last Friday, that the air strikes against the ISIS group militants would be resumed within a few days.

According to Reuters, U.S. officials stated yesterday that the UAE suspended its participation in the U.S.-led air campaign against ISIS fighters after the murder of al-Kasasbeh, who was captured and killed by the ISIS group militants.
