UN: Iraqi people is fighting ISIS on behalf of the world

(IraqiNews.com) BAGHDAD- The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubiš said on Wednesday that the people of Iraq are fighting the ISIS on behalf of the world.
Kubiš in a speech today at a conference of donor countries which are helping Iraq said, “This conference has been organised keeping in mind a better future of Iraq. Operations to liberate Mosul stands as testimony of the successes achieved by the Iraqi forces against ISIS.”
“The Iraqi people are fighting the ISIS on behalf of the world and we urge the international community to provide support to the Iraqi government,” Kubiš added.
