(IraqiNews.com) The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that an agreement for the crossing of 200 Peshmerga via the Turkish border, to defend Kobanî in the face of the so-called Islamic state in Iraq and the Levant, was noted.

According to the Reuters, Erdogan said at a news conference on Thursday in the Latvian capital Riga: “I learned they finally agreed on the number of 200.”

The Kurdish parliament has agreed on Wednesday to send troops from the Kurdish Peshmerga to Kobanî, to support the Kurdish units, which are battling the ISIS elements there.

The Turkish media sources have reported earlier that Turkey agreed to allow 200 Peshmerga with their heavy weapons to cross to Kobanî through its territory.
