URGENT: Air forces of Jordan, Bahrain join attack against ISIS in Syria

(IraqiNews.com) Jordan confirmed its participation in the air strikes lead by the United States and its allies against ISIS positions in Syria on Monday night, saying that it was “a part of the elimination of terrorism in its own home.”

The Minister of Information and the spokesman of the Jordanian government, Mohammed Al-Momani, said that “The Air Force of his country raided some of the sites of the organization ISIS at dawn today.”

For its part, Bahrain confirmed that its Air Force participated, along with other Gulf Air Forces and the United States, in air strikes carried out against the sites of the organization of the Islamic State in Syria.

The official news agency of Bahrain said in an statement followed by IraqiNews.com “formations of the Royal Air Force of Bahrain in conjunction with the Air Force of Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States and allied forces attacked and destroyed a number of ISIS positions in the early hours of Tuesday.”
