US admits two hostages killed on Afghan-Pakistan border

(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, US President Barack Obama revealed the death of two hostages in a raid targeting a stronghold of al-Qaeda on the Afghan-Pakistan border in last January.
Obama said during a press conference reported by news media and followed by IraqiNews.com, “Two hostages taken by al-Qaeda were killed by mistake.”
Obama explained that, “The two hostages were killed in the raid targeted a stronghold of al-Qaeda on the Afghan-Pakistan border,” stressing that, “I personally take responsibility for their death.”
