Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi discussed with Vice President Osama Nijaifi ways to meet the security, political and economic challenges taking place in the country.

A statement by his office received by Iraqi News cited “Abadi and Nijaifi discussed the ways to meet the security, political and economic challenges in the country in addition to the situation in the region.”

“Abadi confirmed that the country is being subjected to a ferocious terrorist attack, which requires concerted efforts to confront it and save the country from the ISIL terrorist gangs,” the statement added.

“He called on the political blocs to put aside their differences and start a new page based on mutual trust to move the political process and Iraq to safety,” the statement concluded. /End/
