Abdul Mahdi, Kosert discuss political crisis of Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Adil Abdul Mahdi, The leading figure within the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, discussed with the undersecretary of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Kosert Rasoul, the efforts to address the current political crisis in Iraq.

The PUK cited in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday “Rasoul received at his office in Erbil, Mahdi and his accompanying delegation where they discussed the political crisis and ways of resolving.”

“Both sides stressed the necessity of dialogue among the political blocs as best resort to get rid of the escalated crisis,” the statement added.

It is worth mentioning that Kurdistan President, Masoud Barzani, announced that he will release new initiative to gather the political blocs around the dialogue table in Erbil.
