Ahrar bloc to request hosting Maliki, security leader in parliament over Tuesday bombings

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend announced that it will submit a request to the parliament to host the General Commander of the Armed Forces, Nouri al-Maliki, and the security leaders over the security breaches that took place in Baghdad and some provinces on Tuesday.

MP, Ali al-Timimi, of al-Ahrar bloc stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com “We will submit a request to host Maliki and the security leaders in the parliament due to the security breaches that took place in Baghdad and the other provinces on Tuesday in addition to targeting the Justice Ministry.”

He assured “The security plans need to be reconsidered to know their ability to sustain security in Baghdad.”

“There are some security leaders in the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who are Ba’athists and close to Maliki,” he concluded.
