All sides to be strong if Iraq gets strong, says Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, pointed out that “All sides will be strong if Iraq becomes strong and vice versa.

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Maliki received a delegation involved representatives of Kurdish Parties headed by Barham Salih,” noting that “Both sides discussed the issues related to Kurdistan Region.”

“Maliki called to give the priority for Iraq’s interests,” the statement added.

“He stressed the necessity of reaching solutions based on the constitution,” the statement assured.

“Both sides agreed upon neglecting the media escalation and to set the mechanism for direct dialogues,” the statement concluded.
