Alwani stresses necessity of eliminating corruption in governmental institutions

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Khalid al-Alwani, of the Iraqiya Slate stressed the necessity of eliminating corruption in Iraq.

He stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday “Iraq needs a reformative revolution against the corruption and the corrupted officials where this is a very dangerous phenomenon and similar to the terrorism.”

“It not easy to estimate the level and limits of the corruption and it is impossible to know the spread of the corruption in the governmental institutions,” he added, noting that “Corruption targets the structure of the State.”

“I am sure that there is no political bloc that is involved in the corruption issues either directly or indirectly,” he concluded.
