Arab political blocs join next Kirkuk PC Elections in one slate

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) A number of the Arab political blocs in Kirkuk province announced forming one slate to participate in the next elections of the provincial councils in 2013.

The Secretary General of the Arab Project Trend, Ahmed Hameed al-Obaidi, stated in a press conference on Wednesday, with participation of some Arab political blocs, “The Arab joint meeting is the core of the Arab alliances in Kirkuk province that will participate in the next elections of the PCs.”

The participants in the conference stressed the necessity of checking the voters’ record and preserve the Iraqi identity of Kirkuk province and avoid associating it to any region, calling to share the authority in the province by all its constituents.
