Baghdad, Washington discuss means to disrupt terrorism financing

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The US Treasury Department’s Undersecretary discussed with the Iraqi Government the coordination between Iraq and the USA with regard to disrupting the flow of terrorism financing to the region.

A statement by the US embassy to Iraq’s media office cited “The US Treasury Department Undersecretary for Terrorism and Financial Information Affairs, David Cohen, visited Iraq in recent to continue the efforts of the US Treasury Department in confronting the threats following the terrorism financing.”

“the US Treasury Dept’s Undersecretary held series of meetings with top Iraqi officials where he discussed with the Iraqi Government and the banking sector the US-Iraqi coordination and the importance the US gives to the international cooperation in field of fighting the terrorism financing,” the statement concluded.
