Barzani calls citizens of Kurdistan Region to continue aiding displaced families

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, congratulated the Iraqis on Eid al-Fiter, calling them to continue aiding the displaced families.

A statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government quoted Barzani, as saying “On the occasion of Eid al-Fiter, I would like to congratulate the Muslims in Kurdistan Region and Iraq in general and wish to congratulate the families of the victims of the current deteriorated security situation.”

“I also congratulate the Peshmerga forces who sacrifice for our safety to protect Kurdistan,” he added, noting that “I call the citizens of Kurdistan Region to continue aiding the displaced families in spite of Baghdad’s siege on the Kurds.”
