Barzani stresses Kurdistan Region’s full readiness to face any threat
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of the Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barazani expressed the Region’s readiness to cope with any unpleasant event, referring to attempts that aim to demolish the friendship between the Shiites and the Kurds.
Barazani said that “The events that took place, on last Friday, in Tuz Khurmato district prompt all of us to pay attention to the destructive attempts that want to drag Iraq into tensions and conflicts.”
“We strongly denounce those events and stress on the sanctity of the Iraqi blood whatever its nation, religion or community,” he added.
There are attempts to undermine the ties between the Kurds and the Arabs in general and the Kurds and the Shiites in particular, therefore we call the Iraqi National Alliance to seriously pay attention for them,” Barzani continued.
It is worth mentioning that last Friday witnessed clashes between elements of Dijla Operations Command and bodyguards of a Kurdish figure in east of Tikrit city resulted in killing and injuring a number of Dijla OC’s elements.
