(IraqiNews.com) Belgium has decided to extend its participation—that is limited so far to six F-16 fighter jets—in the international coalition against the ISIS organization for 6 months, to join the dozens of military personnel on ground.

Belgian Council of Ministers gave the green light for the start of this mission. Last September Belgium sent six fighter jets settled in Jordan to participate in the air strikes carried out by the international coalition aircrafts against ISIS in Iraq.

Defense Minister Stephen Fandbot, pointed out earlier that his country received a request to send 50 military personnel to Iraq to participate in the US-led coalition, that wants to send a mission consisting of 1,500 military advisors to provide all required support for Iraqi forces. The goal from sending troops will not be participating in combat operations.
