Bolani calls government to grant holiday to employees to update their electoral record

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The former Minister of Interior, Jawad al-Bolani, called the Iraqi government to grant the employees a holiday to update their electoral record.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday “We call the government to grant a formal holiday to the employees to update their electoral records prior to the next provincial councils’ elections.”

“Increasing the centers of updating the electoral records will give a chance to all the voters to participate in the next elections,” he added, noting that “The number of the citizens who head to those centers will be recorded in addition to reveling the desire or the lack of the desire to participate in the next elections.’

He called “The Independent High Electoral Commission to increase the centers of updating the electors’ records in Baghdad and the other provinces that will witness the next elections.”
