Breaking News…SIIC nominates Rubaiyi for Baghdad Mayor Post

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Baghdad, Salah Abdul Razaq, announced that the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council nominated Mohamed al-Rubaiyi, for the post of Baghdad Mayor.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The SIIC nominated Rubaiyi and the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, is considering this nomination currently.”

He described Rubaiyi who occupies the post of the head of Strategic Planning Committee within Baghdad Provincial Council as “The moderate figure who has visions to develop the Capital, Baghdad.”
