Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Council of Ministers decided to retire 22 thousand elements of the former Iraqi Army on pension.

A statement by the CoM received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday cited “The CoM approved the recommendation of the ministerial committee to retire 22 thousand elements of the former Iraqi Army on pension.”

“The former civil employees of the Ministry of Defense who are about 500 were also included,” the statement concluded.
