Chalabi visits Sadr in Najaf province

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqi National Congress, Ahmed al-Chalabi, visited the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr in Najaf province.

The reporter of Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) stated on Thursday “Chalabi met Sadr in his office in Najaf where they will discuss the latest developments of the political process.

The political scene witnesses recently a growing movement to solve the political crises started with the holding the five-side meeting in Erbil.

The head of Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, has participated in Erbil meeting which involved the President, Jalal Talabani, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, and the as well as the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, to discuss the political crisis.

The participants in the meeting sent a letter, including nine items, to the Iraqi National Alliance requesting Maliki to apply them within fifteen days otherwise they will withdraw confidence from him.
