Esawi: Calls for boycotting next PCs elections harm democratic process in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aboud al-Esawi, of the State of Law Coalition confirmed “The calls for boycotting the upcoming elections of the Provincial Councils harm the democratic process in Iraq and will not be able to create a political change.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The voting boxes are the only means to support democracy that needs the voters’ awareness to reach the required results.”

“The voters’ votes determine the change that is why they must not be affected by the false promises given by the candidates, the voters should make sure of the candidates’ national loyalty,” he assured.

“The Iraqi tribes have major role in the social scene and they should instruct their affiliated members to avoid voting for sectarian of communal desires instead they have to vote for the transparent figures,” he concluded.

It is worth mentioning that some Iraqi organizations called to boycott the next PCs elections.
