Focus on provincial elections to create strong local governments, says Bolani

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Bada’na Trend (We Started), Jawad al-Bolani, stressed that “The focus on the provincial elections will produce strong local governments that would help alleviating the problems experienced by the Central Government.”

Bolani said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday “The focus on conducting the provincial elections and encouraging the voters to participate in the elections will be a start to change the local governments till reaching the date of the parliament elections that are scheduled to be launched in 2014.”

He added “The formation of strong local governments would reduce the Federal Government’s problems and give it breathing space to assume the internal and the external missions perfectly.”

The local elections in Iraq is scheduled to be launched in next April, 20th.
