Foreign Minister receives Chairman of Parliamentary Committee

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Foreign Minister, Dr. Ibrahim Al Jaafari, received on February 28, 2015 Chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, Hassan Shwaired. Present at the meeting was MP Hilal Al Sahlani.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by IraqiNews.com cited “During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political situation in the Iraqi arena and the developments of Iraq’s relations with different world countries and the world’s support to Iraq in its war against the terrorist Islamic State (IS) gangs since the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the first gate that the other ministries reach to the world through it.”

“They also stressed the necessity of continuing the diplomatic effort and to represent Iraq in international forums to continue supporting Iraq in all domains,” the statement concluded. /End/
