General Budget must be endorsed by approval of all blocs, says Jaf

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ashwaq al-Jaf, of the Kurdistani Alliance stated that the rights of the Iraqi people must not be used for political purposes against Kurdistan Region.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, she said “The General Budget must be endorsed by the approval of all the political blocs because it does not belong to a particular bloc, but it is for the Iraqis where no one can use it as a political means to pressurize Kurdistan Region.”

“The Kurds are a part of the Iraqi people where they have to receive their rights and the ratio of Kurdistan Region from the General Budget is their right and not a gift as some politicians think,” she added, noting that “2013 Budget cannot be endorsed by the majority of the blocs but there should be a political deal about it.”

“The ratio of Kurdistan Region for the last years did not reach 17% in spite of being constitutional but it did not exceed 11%,” she concluded.
