General Secretariat of CoM denies reports over 3.000 Iraqi families seek asylum in Turkey

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Department of Coordination and Following up in the Secretariat General of Council of Ministers denied media reports over three thousands Iraqi family that seek asylum in Turkey due to the harsh living condition in Iraq.

A statement by the Secretariat General of the CoM received by IraqiNews.com cited “The reports over this issue are not accurate and lack professionalism.”

“The Deputy Secretary General of CoM, Rahman Esa Hasan, held a meeting with the head of Coordination Department, representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Displaced in addition to the Red Crescent Society in Iraq,” the statement added,

“The attendants of the meeting discussed the possibility of supporting the Iraqi families reside Turkey and other countries according to the available accurate database,” the statement concluded.

Earlier, media reports mentioned that about three thousand Iraqi families moved to Turkey due to harsh living conditions.
