(Iraqinews.com) Baghdad – The Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on Wednesday that the latter will travel to China at the head of a senior government delegation to discuss ways of security and military cooperation and the role of Chinese companies in the investment sector.

The spokesman for the Office Saad al-Hadithi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi will visit China on Wednesday 19, Aughost 2015 at the head of a high-level government delegation,” noting that, “the visit will last for three days.”

Al-Hadithi added that “The aim of the visit is to develop relations between the two countries and to discuss ways of security and military cooperation to strengthen Iraq’s military capabilities, in addition to discussing China’s efforts at the international level with regard to fighting terrorism and drain its resources.”
