Hakim appreciates role of Religious Authorities in preserving people’s interest
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, met the Iranian Religious Authority, Nour al-Hamdani in Baghdad.
A statement by Hakim’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday cited “Hakim received Hamdani at his office in Baghdad in a presence of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”
“Hakim appreciated the role of the Religious Authorities in preserving the people’s interest by endorsing the constitution and calling for elections.”
Earlier, Hamdani arrived to Iraq where he met the Religious Authority, Ali al-Sistani.
