Hakim assures supporting stances of religious authorities over settling crisis
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar l-Hakim, assured supporting the stances of the religious authorities in settling the current crisis by the dialogue and neglecting the sectarian slogans.
A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com quoted Hakim while meeting the Shura Council of Shahid al-Muhrab Trend, as saying “The current situation in Iraq is critical due to the regional events,” calling “All the political sides to hold the responsibility in settling the crisis.”
“He appreciated the role of the members of Shahid al-Muhrab Trend in the Arbaeen pilgrimage and the security forces that protected the pilgrims,” the statement added.
“He called the members of Shahid al-Muhrab Trend to serve the Iraqi people regardless the results of the next elections, assuring that serving the citizens is the aim of Shahid al-Muhrab Trend,” the statement concluded.
