Hakim calls political blocs to unify stances to face current challenges

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, called to unify the stances of the political blocs and to deal positively with the current challenges.

A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday cited “Hakim, while receiving a delegation of Dawa Islamic Party, Iraq Organization headed by the Secretary General, Abdul Karim al-Anizi, stressed the necessity of making the current challenges in Iraq and the region as chances to unify the stance and to positively to deal with them.”

“Hakim assured that the SIIC is ready to cooperate with all the political blocs by using its relations with them to unify the stances,” the statement added.

The statement pointed out “The spokesperson of the SIIC, Hamid Muala al-Sa’adi, in a press conference held after the meeting, expressed his hope over “Unifying the stances where all realize the danger of the current situation,” noting that “the electoral propaganda has to do with the political situation where the SIIC appreciated all the other blocs without exception.”

“For his part, Anizi expressed his pleasure over meeting Hakim, assuring that the political situation in Iraq and the region was discussed during the meeting,” the statement concluded.
