Hakim warns from damaging ideas of \"Daesh\" terrorist group

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council Ammar al-Hakim considered the statement of the what is so called “Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (DAESH)” as a “new criminal and terrorist phenomenon.”

A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com Friday cited “Hakim considered in a speech he delivered at his office in Baghdad that the statement of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (DAESH) represent their ugly and damaging ideas by creating disputes among Muslims.”

“DAESH considers all Muslims who have sympathy towards the revolution of Imam Hussein and have faith in Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) as atheists and unbelievers,” he added, noting that “Such threats will strengthen our faith and persistence to continue the revolution of Imam Hussein.”
