Hamoudi, Bulgarian FM discuss bilateral relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, Humam Hamoudi, discussed with the Bulgarian Foreign Minister, Nikolay Mladenov, the bilateral relations.

A statement by Hamoudi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hamoudi and the accompanied delegation who visit the Bulgarian Capital, Sofia, met the Bulgarian FM and discussed the means of developing the mutual relations in the political and economic levels where Hamoudi expects that there will not be any security breaches that targets the foreigners.”

“Hamoudi stated that Iraq and Bulgarian have historical relations that they aim to develop them,” the statement added, noting that “Hamoudi assured that the Iraqi Ambassador to Bulgarian has great efforts in developing those relations, calling to inaugurate the Bulgarian embassy in Iraq.”

According to the statement, Hamoudi pointed out “The biggest Bulgarian companies are working in Iraq and this means that the security situation is different from that of 2008.”

“For his part, Mladenov assured that a Bulgarian delegation has arrived in Baghdad to discuss the means of inaugurating the Bulgarian embassy in Iraq which will be done in the beginning of 2013,” the statement concluded.
