Hamoudi: Demonstrations normal issue in democratic country

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Foreign Relations Parliamentary Committee, Humam Hamoudi, stressed the necessity of finding peaceful solution in Syria to avoid partition and sectarian violence.

A statement by his office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hamoudi received the French Ambassador to Iraq and discussed with him the Syrian crisis and its consequences,” noting that “They reviewed the Iraqi and regional political situation.”

“Hamoudi stressed that Iraq proved its ability to overcome the crises and preserving its national unity,” the statement added.

“Hamoudi confirmed the importance of reaching peaceful solution ruling out reaching such solution by the Syrian political sides,” the statement continued.

“The Ambassador expressed his wish for happy new year for Iraq,” the statement concluded.
