Hamoudi, Moumin discuss Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, Humam Hamoudi, discussed with the Kuwiati Ambassador to Iraq, Ali al-Moumin, the bilateral relations between Iraq as well as pending issues that hinder reliving Iraq from the UN Charter’s Seventh Chapter.

A statement by Hamoudi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited Saturday “Both sides emphasized during the meeting held on Saturday the depth of the historical relations between Iraq and Kuwait,” noting that “Hamoudi and Moumin discussed the pending files that hinder relieving Iraq from the UN’s sanctions.”

Hamoudi congratulated the members of the Kuwaiti Parliament for winning the trust of the Kuwaiti People, wishing to start a new phase of fraternal relations between Iraq and Kuwait.

“Hamoudi considered that Parliamentary relations are more important of the governmental relations because the first link the peoples of the two countries,” the statement concluded.
