IHEC approves 150 political parties to participate in next PC elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission approved 150 political parties to participate in the next elections of the Provincial Councils.

The head of the Electoral Directorate within the IHEC, Muqdad al-Shirifi, stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com “The IHEC approved 150 political parties to participate in the next elections of the Provincial Councils.”

It is worth mentioning that the Council of Minister specified the 20^th of April 2013 as a date for holding the PC elections except the provinces of Kurdistan Region.
