INA MP: Demonstrations to lead to sectarian conflict in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Karim Alewi, of the Iraqi National Alliance described the demonstrations in Iraq as “Politicized and will lead to a sectarian conflict.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The demonstrations are politicized by some political sides inside and outside of Iraq and it was clear since the beginning of the demonstrations when the demonstrators lifted the photos of the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayib Erdogan, and the former President of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, and the flags of what is so called, The Free Syrian Army which means that the demonstrations are different and will result in a sectarian conflict.”

“It is completely shown that the demonstrations aim at collapsing the political process and we call all the Iraqi people not to allow such demonstrations to topple the political process in Iraq,” he concluded.
