Iqbal warns of uncontrolled popular reactions if sectarian slogans continue in Anbar demonstrations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Mohamed Iqbal of the Iraqiya Slate warned from uncontrolled popular reaction in case the sectarian slogans remain in the current demonstrations and contests in Anbar province.

Iqbal stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) that “We urge the wise political sides to play an influential role in bringing the different views closer among the political blocs.”

“The recent political crises brought the sectarian alignments back to the political process in Iraq where the masses fear the return of the country to the first square,” he added.

Iqbal pointed out that “The Iraqi National Alliance, on the grounds that it is the largest political bloc, should take the initiative to adopt harmonious stances to end the political crisis.”

Anbar province witnessed since the past few days mass demonstrations to protest the arrest of the guards of the Finance Minister, the leading figure in the Iraqiya Slate.
