Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iranian Minister of Interior stressed during a meeting with the Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki his country’s readiness to cooperate in field of control over the mutual borders and prevention of smuggling weapons or infiltrators.

A statement by the Premier Office cited “Maliki received today, Thursday, the Iranian Minister of Interior Mustafa Mohamed Najar.”

“Maliki confirmed the necessity to continue cooperation among the countries of the region in a way that enhances the security stability,” the statement added, highlighting “The serious security challenges and the means to address them through wisdom and prudence.”

It is worth to mention that the Interior Minister of Iran has arrived to Baghdad on last Tuesday in an official three day visit during which he will meet with Iraqi leaders and officials.

The Iranian Minister handed over during a meeting with the Vice President Khudair Khuzai an official invitation to the President Talabani inviting him to participate in the summit meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement to be held in Iran in August, 2012.
