Iraq, Japan stress necessity of unifying stances over regional crises

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iraq and Japan stressed the necessity of unifying the stances over the regional crises.

A statement by the Foreign Ministry received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday cited “Undersecretary for Policy Planning Labeed Abbawi chaired the joint Iraqi – Japanese meeting for dialogue, which was held at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs building.”

“The Japanese side was chaired by Head of the Middle East and Africa Department, Makeo Miakawa. During the meeting the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways of developing them on all levels,” the statement added.

“They also tackled the political situation and the major changes on the rout to democracy as well as Iraq’s position towards the Arab spring revolutions, the Syrian crisis and Iranian nuclear program,” the statement concluded.
